Tommy Chico was born in Vienna on July 27, 1972.
Thomas Christian Holczik, Tommy Chico’s real name, was supposed to become a priest. However, he quit his theology studies, went to Paris for a while and took acting lessons in Vienna in 1990. With a view to better career opportunities, he moved to the United States, where he continued his professional training in the media metropolis of Los Angeles. His stay was successful: the newcomer, who was gifted at voice imitations, sent demo tapes to production and voice recording companies, which in fact felt into the hands of a Disney agency. For the young Viennese, who now went by the conspicuous name Tommy Chico, the American dream came true in 1991 when he was entrusted with the continuation of the task by the Disney Group in Burbank. Since then, the Austrian has been known worldwide as „The voice of Donald Duck“. This was followed by voice recordings in various studios, both in the New World and in Europe. Chico moved into a house in the Hollywood Hills next to his Viennese residence and began to make acting the focus of his professional career. He initially acted in German-speaking countries, in TV productions such as MEDICOPTER 117 (BRD/A 1997) and KOMMISSAR REX (A/BRD 2000). He is now one of the regulars on AN AMERICAN TOWN, the TV series produced by American Soap LLC about the lives, problems and relationships of college students, in the role of Tim. Tommy Chico, who also feels a connection to cabaret and appeared in shows in Las Vegas, took Jerry Lewis as his role model. He received a very special honor when he was invited as a guest star to the big JERRY LEWIS BIRTHDAYSHOW, which took place in Los Angeles. To mark the 75th birthday of the world-famous entertainer, his admirer performed a few parodies in Jerry Lewis style.
